Atonement Lutheran
                School Board

The School Board meets the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. All regular Board meetings are open to the public.

Appointed by the Church Council, the Atonement Lutheran School Board is the overseer of the school programs.  The board is comprised of seven voting members.  These members are all members of Atonement Lutheran Church and serve two year terms.  In addition, there are several non-voting attendees who participate in each meeting, including; the Pastor, the School Administrator, and School Board Consultant.

Congregational members are invited to serve on the board.  Please share your interest with the current school board president.

The Board President prepares the agenda.  Items not on the agenda may not be discussed.  If there are concerns that need to be addressed by the board it is requested that they be presented to the Board President (via the school principal) in writing by filling out a Public Address form.  Deadline for the monthly agenda is noon, the first Monday of the month.

It is important that proper channels for issues or grievances have been followed before being presented to the board.  Elementary and Early Childhood Handbooks list this procedure.  Personnel or student issues will be considered in Special Executive Session.

The School Board members are always open to concerns of families, teachers, staff and the congregation.  However, it is important to note that members of the Board do not act on an individual basis, but rather the Board as a whole gives direction and guidance.
