Preschool goals are designed for each child based on age and readiness. We believe that God has designed each child to be an individual. It is our joy to discover each student’s unique way of learning and help each child reach his or her full potential. Worship and the building of a relationship with our loving friend and Savior Jesus are at the core of our program.

Our Minis program is for twos who turn 3 by February 1, 2011 and young threes (summer birthday) who are potty trained meets two mornings a week (W/F) from 9:00-11:30. This class provides that first step in a child’s school experience. The small group size (seven) gives each child the opportunity to begin developing needed social skills for their success in a classroom setting. Research indicates a strong relationship between a student’s social emotional being and cognitive success.

Our 3-year-old early childhood program includes such basics as sharing, following directions, colors, shapes and name recognition and much more. Teacher planned activities and experiences provide support for all academic domains as well as physical, creative, social and faith development.  The daily schedule provides routine and is child friendly; encouraging exploration, using play as a means of constructing knowledge, building social skills and developing appropriate school behavior.

The 4-year-old program continues building on skills introduced to our 3-year-old students. It allows for strengthening and increasing the knowledge base already developed through lesson planning that is thematic and appropriate for the young child. Bible stories, Chapel and classroom worship nurture the spiritually developing child. The AZ Early Learning Standards provide a guide to developing a curriculum that is effective and supports language and literacy, math, science, social studies, arts, and social development. This program is designed to prepare the student to enter kindergarten with confidence and the experiences that encourage readiness.
